Do you really NEED to learn barre chords?

There are many misconceptions about learning guitar.

One is "You can't progress on guitar without learning to play barre chords"

This simply IS NOT TRUE!

You can, and most people do.

However, it is SUPER essential to learn the barre chord SHAPES and how those notes relate if you are to become an Intermediate and advanced guitar player
