Exercise 1 - Chest and Head voice
- Discover the key differences between chest (belting) and head ('breathy') voice 
- Practice finding the feeling and tone of singing in head and chest voice 
Exercise 2 - Mix voice
- The mix voice can have chest voice characteristics, but without tiring our voice which can happen when belting in chest too often 
- To find this position in the voice, imagine a blend of a chest and head voice or 'in-between' the two voices 
Exercise 3 - Doing Sirens between your chest and head voice
- This exercise is useful for helping bridge the gap between the chest and head voice 
- Start with saying a 'hung' and by using the 'uh' in the word, you set up the larynx (throat) to be in a low position 
- Try and experiment with the sirens to smooth out the breaks in transition between the voice positions
