02 Country Style Flat Picking Technique

‘Flat picking’ is another term for picking single strings with a pick. It is a term that comes from country playing, but can also refer to any general picking in any style.

Here’s the most common country style flat picking pattern that I have come across, which is fantastic for your technique in any style of guitar playing! It it a technique that can be heard in numerous Johnny Cash songs and also in Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
