In this video

One of the few Beatles complete 4 chord songs, ad Let It Be uses C - G - Am - F throughout the whole song.

This lesson covers multiple F chord options and introduces the C major scale for nice embellishments.

F Chord Options:

  • F major 7: this is the easiest version (like C chord shape)

  • Hybrid F: E major shape moved up one fret, so we barre the thinnest two strings

  • The Full F barre chord, it is tricky and I myself lean towards the Hybrid F...

because the Hybrid works best for quick C changes!

C Major Scale Embellishments:

  • Used to fill in between F and C

  • Two notes on string 4 (fret 2 and open)

In the video I sing the melody to 'F - E, D, C' to show the notes used

  • Covered in depth in bonus video

  • More help in Level 6 Beginner Acoustic - this has comprehensive scale work

Here's a full tutorial for this song, where I go further into the details if you want to really ace this one!
