BC04 - 70bpm E E A A power chords
Let's Jam Along to this Rock style track with the two easiest power chords we can play - the E5 and A5!
Visual Jam track 1 - join in!
While this technique of power chords and muting does lend itself well to Rock music the electric guitar, it is not exclusive as this style not only sounds great on Acoustic but the techniques are found in so many other genres it's a great idea to get them in our playing tool kit.
In this Jam Track we first play the E5 strummed once in a bar and then the A5 strummed once in bar, as a progression that lasts 4 bars in total. Then we move onto this Muting Riff which is similar stylistically to I Love Rock 'n' Roll the Joan Jett version.
The pattern here is Strum, Strum, Mute.
