In this video
"Tennessee Whiskey" is a country song written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove, originally recorded by American country music artist David Allan Coe in 1981. American singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton recorded an R&B-influenced cover of the song for his debut studio album Traveller released in 2015.
This song has just two chords; A major and B minor. As the B minor chord is tricky for some, an easier option is use a capo at the 2nd fret and play the chords G major and A minor, which I teach in the video.
We'll also look at the simple lead line, which I teach towards the end of the video.

Musically, Chris Stapleton's cover of "Tennessee Whiskey" is very similar to the song "I'd Rather Go Blind" by Etta James. Check out that great song below and also my tutorial for it further down this page!
