Electric Guitar Day 6 - The Who Simplified For Beginners

You made it, you found us. Thank you so much for checking out the remainder of this 10 day electric guitar challenge where we're learning guitar 10 minutes a day for 10 days. This is day 6, and this is song and riff number 6. This is by one of the great British bands. This one is by The Who, it's their signature hymn or anthem, My Generation. And we're. We're gonna be looking at an easy one string version to play along to this full song. There's lots of stops and starts in this one, so we're gonna be giving you all the help you need, but you can even jam along to the original recording if you really enjoy this song. But mostly we're just shaking up the rhythm a bit and getting used to this super fun song. Here's the lesson. Best of luck with this classic song, guys. Here's a super easy way that you can play My Generation just on one string and jam along to this phenomenal song. It starts off at the third fret and all we need to play is just 33331111. Best thing about it. It is, the fret numbers also line up with the finger numbers. Finger 3, finger 11234. Finger 3 plays fret 3 of string 61234, and then 1234 of the first fret. 1. 12341234, people try to put us down. And we just mute, palm muting with this side of the hand, the outside of the palm, and then relax this hand when Roger Dalter is singing those fantastic lyrics, just because we get around. That one and we also have uh. And also how to add chords to it kind of like. But that is all at more of an intermediate level for sure. I highly recommend you try and play it along to that song, it'll be really good for your song structure and kind of learning a longer piece which isn't traditional verse, chorus, verse, chorus kind of.
