If you hear a super fast guitar line, chances are that the player is using some hammer ons and/ or pull offs aka flick offs

This is where we pick a note and then sound the next note with hammer on a finger or flick off that note to another finger. At first, this can sound like a technique for Van Halen style tapping only, but this is dead wrong. All styles of lead guitar incorporate hammer on and flick offs. It is also the best way to improve your speed, dexterity and accuracy - get ready to transform your lead playing with this powerful technique!
