Int Jam Track 12 5 G D C D w Frank Turner chords G major scale
Following on from the previous lesson where we learnt the 3:2 method shape, this is the perfect time to practice that shape and improvise all your own lead lines
Tips for improvising!
Keep it simple to start, a few notes with a good sense of timing sounds better than many notes all loosely played
Use your ear to guide yourself through the scale, try repeat any lines that sound particularly melodic to you (don't worry about chord changes)
Play notes closer together as this sounds more naturally melodic than too many big jumps through the scale
Have fun! Draw on inspiration from your favourite players or solos/lead lines/riffs that you can use!
