Cascade Licks with G Major Pentatonic

Cascade Licks combine open strings and fretted notes to create a cascading effect. These licks have an open and flowing sound, and can be a very effective technique for creating beautiful pieces of music.

G Major Pentatonic Scale

This time we're playing in position 2 of the G Major Pentatonic Scale. As in the previous lesson, you can see here how the notes on the 4th and 5th frets (marked in light blue) are replaced by the open strings above them.
