Andy Guitar - Electric Rock Lead Guitar EBOOK
Double Stops are another super common lead guitar technique. Here, we play 2 strings together in what is known as a ‘block’, the proper term for which is a ‘Dyad’ aka a 2 note chord. Power chords are a form of double stop or dyad. But, here we’ll focus on the lead guitar applications.
There are countless solos that use Double Stops. The best examples are the middle solo of ‘Johnny B. Goode’ by Chuck Berry and also the lead guitar parts in ‘Fortunate Son’ by CCR.
