In this Bank Holiday live stream I took things back to 1987 - hence the Def Leppard t-shirt! I spent time getting my new Rockman X100 pedal dialed in, which is perfect for authentic 80s tones with four overdrive levels and chorus all in one pedal.
The main focus was U2's Joshua Tree sound, showing how to get that signature Edge tone with triplet delay on “Where The Streets Have No Name” and “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.” Then we covered other 1987 classics including Def Leppard’s “Hysteria,” INXS “New Sensation,” Aerosmith tracks, and Whitesnake songs. Most of it was surprisingly simple - basic power chords and minor pentatonic gets you through these classics.
