Learning the open B7 chord shape and tips on how to play chords comfortably
The B7 chord is a similar shape to how we play the open A chord. The B7 adds great 'tension' and flavour to a chord progression, where 'imperfect' and 'perfect' cadences start to become a common theme in our playing.
When forming the shape of the chord on the fretboard, we move our fingers closer to the fret nearest to us, as this is the most comfortable position and requires less finger power to squeeze the strings.
