In this video
This beautiful song requires a Capo at the 7th fret to match the original key.
We'll learn a simplified version using basic open chords, with a great and easily alternative to the tricky picking section.
Capo Placement:
Capo at 7th fret (essential for original key)
We can still play without capo for practice (but different key remember)
Full tutorial with complex picking available in bonus video!
Main Chord Progression:
Verse/Intro: D (two bars), G (one bar), A7 (one bar)
Strumming: D DU UD ('most common strumming pattern ever'!) throughout
Repeats for verse: "Here comes the sun..."
Simplified Approach:
Avoids difficult fingerpicking
Uses new chords - Dsus2 and Dsus4
Importantly: Maintains song's character
