You made it, you're here, thank you so much for checking out day 6 of this 10 day Beatles guitar for beginners. This is another McCartney song today we're looking at Let It Be. We're looking at a simplified version first of all, and then how we can embellish this. And once again playing this on my beginner acoustic, available from Andyguitar.co.uk and uh this song has 4 simple chords throughout. C major. G major A minor. And F major. Some people prefer to play the F bar chord. I'm actually gonna encourage this hybrid where we play fingers 12, and 3, kind of like a C chord, is the easiest version for an F major 7. But then we can do a hybrid where we play an E major. With fingers 23 and 4, here's an E major, slide that up one fret, and then bar just the thinnest two strings with the inside as much as you can of the first finger and kind of grip the guitar neck like you would hold it naturally. Keep fingers 23 and 4 right curled over, they're really curled over. And that's how we can change to the sea easily. And play all of this 4 chord song basically, this is one of the few Beatles 4 chord songs, but also. Play that little embellishment there, so this would be C, C. G A minor And F C C G. GF. see And the embellishment I did earlier was playing F. And then playing 2 notes. 2nd fret on string 4. Open string 4 to the C, and that's two notes from the C major scale. Which will be this video's bonus lesson, which is down below 100% for free, but that is from the Andy Guitar Beginner's course, and you can find out more info about that down below as well, but a bit of practise. Of that C major scale goes very well with this lesson, not only from the embellishment, but just to be able to play that F chord very well and to do these chord changes very well. Here's another Beatles tip that we've covered a little bit already but really applies here, and it's this G, I call this a George Harrison G, but Paul McCartney used to play this all the time. And we have C major and then it's the middle two fingers that go up. Finger 23, and 4, like this. Not using the first finger at all for this G. But that does mean it's an easier change from C. G and A minor, once you get used to it. It's tricky in the beginning, but once you're used to this, this is a great option. And it's not called anything else, so I nicknamed it a Beatles G, a Paul McCartney G, or a George Harrison G, they're all the guys that used to do this all the time. A minor and F And then the progression changes slightly. From the top, 34, when I find myself in times of trouble. It comes to me. Speaking of wisdom, then it's. DC as that again. And in my hour of darkness, she is standing right. In front of me Speaking words of wisdom. And it's Down to C. Then we have the second chord progression here for the chorus where it repeats, let it be, let it be, which starts on an A minor, all the same chords, just a slightly different order. A minor. to a sea. Then it's the same as we did before, whisper words of wisdom. Top tip with Beatles songs whenever it repeats a lyric from before, it's probably got those same chords er that you're playing underneath those, those same lyrics. That chorus one more time, A minor, let it be. Then to to see See chord and FED. Or to keep it easier, F. All that repeats again and that will be the simple strumming that we'll go for in this video, but to keep us on a little bit more scale practise, there's a little organ part in the middle just before uh George Harrison's fantastic solo. Uh there's a little break in the song where we have a, a little change where it goes F, then a C, then a. C, and we could just strum that, that was F. CG Or we could play this single note melody which goes. DC and then first fret. So that was playing 103. 13. So it does 320, 310, 31 back to 3. F B, C, B flat, A, G. FC. So let's have a nice slow playthrough of this fantastic song. From the start we'll add in that little bit of uh major scale practise in the interlude as well, but let's go from the start with C major in 2. 34.
