Biffy Clyro - Machines

Machines by Biffy Clyro is one of those songs I think everyone should experience playing on guitar. For all the huge alternative rock music Biffy are known for, this is essentially a simple four-chord acoustic song — but there are some brilliant little tricks in Simon Neil’s playing that make it sound so good.

We’ll look at the Rock G chord, that distinctive rhythm and one of my favourite tricks for making chord changes easier — sometimes you don’t need to move your fingers faster, you just need to give yourself more time to change! Then I'll put everything together and play through the song. Absolute tune.
