Often in fingerstyle, a melody is played on the thinner strings while a bass line or chord is played in the bass. This makes fingerstyle an attractive style to learn as songs sound finished when played solo and unaccompanied.

However, many beginners struggle to fathom how playing a melody with chords or a bass line at the same time can be the done at all, it can look impossible!

Here, I show you the method of how to play the C major scale while still playing a C chord and then a fingerstyle G chord and finally, the fingerstyle F chord.
