Here's how to play Hold My girl by George Ezra from his brilliant album Staying At Tamara's.

Chord sheet here for the version I am playing, which is accurate to how George plays it live. To play along to George, you'll need to tune down a full step to the following tuner notes;

  • D - G - C - F - A - E (thickest to thinnest)

This is how George Ezra tunes his guitar, simply out of preference to suit his low voice.

You do not have to tune down. I demo this song without tuning down and would play it without tuning down if I had to play it live. You can learn this version and not tune down, and therefore sing your own version.

Or if you want to play along to him and not tune down, use this chord sheet in the key of G with a capo at 3rd fret.

Phew! Now that's out of the way. on with the video!
