Track 01 - Classic Rock A Major
In this lesson we're looking at recording over a Backing Track. Andy has a backing track prepared to drop into this session, and we can use a track like this as a base for our recording.
You can download this backing track and learn the riff in my Rock Rhythm course here. Just right click on the audio player and click 'Save Audio As'.
Key points
If you know the tempo of the backing track, you can set the tempo in GarageBand to make editing easier
Once the tempo is set properly, you can loop a riff easily
Make sure you don't turn everything up too far or you will start to get clipping
