Here's how to play Tie Your Mother Down by Queen. Be sure to check out more Queen song tutorials here!

This is one of my all time personal favourite guitar riffs ever! It really encapsulates everything I love about a good guitar riff, and also plays to my personal strengths as guitar player and has added to create what I see as 'my sound'.

If you struggle with any of the techniques in this tutorial, but sure to check out my new Rock Rhythm guitar course. This course covers every single technique featured in this song in a structured way and will take you from a beginner to being able to nail this kind of tune.

Here's the Brian May video I mentioned in my tutorial.

It is from this amazing guitar lesson series by Brian himself!

If you enjoy this video, check out this one where I discuss Brian May's playing style and with. Dave Colquhoun, who was actually in the Bohemian Rhapsody movie playing guitar!

Dave has played on stage with Brian May and Rick Wakeman and was recently involved in the Bohemian Rhapsody movie! Dave's other credits include the We Will Rock You musical, teaching guitar to Bohemian Rhapsody actors Rami Malek (Freddie Mercury) and Gwilym Lee (Brian May) as well as Freddie's Mum! (story at the end of the video!)
