Rock Rhythm 03 - The 'Chicka' technique

When I started creating this course, I was thinking ‘what’s the one thing that would improve the playing level of everyone who watched it with the minimum effort. And for me, it is without doubt - the chicka!

The Chicka is picked notes that are muted with the chord hand to form a rhythm. 

Every rhythm guitarist worth his salt knows and uses this technique, and the best always make it part of their signature sound. Malcom Young, Nile Rodgers, Hendrix, Izzy Stradlin,  every rhythm guitarist you can name has song examples of them using this. So what the hell is it?
