One of the most common questions from guitarists working through a structured course: when is it time to move on to the next level?
The jam tracks in the Andy Guitar courses are the clearest measure. If you can play through the jam track for a level, you have the minimum skill level to move on. That's what they're designed to test.
Beyond that, the 70-80% rule is a useful guide: if you can perform the new skills correctly around 70 to 80% of the time, that's a good signal to progress. Move on too fast and the next level becomes frustratingly hard. Stay too long and there's a risk of getting bored and losing momentum. The sweet spot is keeping things challenging enough to stay engaged while not being so far ahead that the learning stops sticking.
