Thank you for checking out this Christmas song series. I just wanted to make a quick video to let you know how to make the most of this course. This first series, Christmas Songs Volume One, starts at an absolute beginner level. The first song that we look at just uses the E and A major chords that we look at at. Level one of my beginner's course, so it is appropriate for that. But we're building our confidence with following code sheets and then for example, in the first song, each code that is written on the code sheet is played for a bar. Now one thing I want to make you aware of at this stage straight away is er that first song for example is Oh Christmas Tree. Oh Christmas Tree, oh Christmas Tree. That's actually a little low for my voice and what we can do is use a capo to make it a little bit more comfortable and the higher you put the capo, the higher it would be for your voice if you choose to sing along to this. So this is just for people that want to kind of have a sing along either on your own or with your family, for example. Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, how lovely are your branches. And that melody note. In this case it's on the 4th uh string. So if I move it up to the 5th fret and we make it even higher. Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, how lovely are your branches. So if any of these are a little bit uncomfortable to sing, you can move the capper around and get used to where it is most comfortable for your voice, which is a fantastic skill, uh when we're looking. At these beginner songs because we want to get used to using a cappa with these same chords as a crucial beginner skill. It enables you to play more songs and it enables for the singers out there this to sound better for your voice and also if you happen to play with other guitarists or other musicians with any of these songs, you might have to play these songs in a different key to be able to play with them. So this is a. Way that would enable you to do that, just with a little bit of knowledge of how to use a capo. This first series is more just strumming and rhythm arrangements, so I'll have the full play along video. It's Christmas Songs Volume 2, there's 12 songs of Christmas that has more melodies in there and more uh picking, picking the melodies in the tab for all the melodies in that one. So just to be aware, we're just. Going for the chords mainly in this one, but we'll have some teasers as to how to read tab and how to read melody just as a little bit of preparation towards the end of this series for the next one so that you can er get on to learn as many Christmas songs as you wish or just pick your favourites. So I hope to see you in those song tutorial videos. Have fun with this one guys and I look forward to jamming with you.
