This completes our 14 day bootcamp. Thank you for for taking part!
Let's Recap
Over the course of this series we have looked at musical keys, the chords that belong to that key & a little about why or how we can use this in many ways, such as borrowing chords.
This all stems from scales, of which we’ve looked at the major scale, pentatonic scale and the uses of these to understand chords, riffs & melody lead lines.
In any scale, when playing lead lines or improvising, we should always be aware of the target notes and everything else can fall into place from there. You can alternate pick, slide, add vibrato or pauses and as long as you target the right notes your lead playing will sound musical!
As well as the chords in a key & that special link to scales, we checked out the famous 12 barre blues riffs which are more rhythm focussed at times, whether you play straight rhythms or add that iconic blues bounce, this is a lot of fun to try & no matter what level you eventually get to, the blues will always be there!
My top recommendations as to where to go from here are as follows;
"I need more step by step guidance"
I have no better comprehensive program at the time of writing than my online Beginners Course, link here.

"I just want more song tutorials that use just the chords I know"
If this sounds like you, then just use the Videos page search bar and filter by the chords you know, playing level, artists etc - link here

"I want this program but for electric guitar"
I'm excited to create a 10 day program for electric guitar and plan to in the future. However, I do offer something similar to this with jamtracks and suitable for beginners, which you'll find here. Look for the electric guitar courses further down the page.
