Level 8 is a major leap forward in understanding the guitar neck. You’ll learn the complete CAGED system—all five shapes—along with their minor chord forms, giving you a clear, reliable framework for navigating chords, melodies, and solos anywhere on the fretboard.

Building on this foundation, you’ll expand your scale vocabulary with E minor and C major pentatonic runs, then learn how to connect these shapes so you can move fluidly across positions. From there, you’ll explore how pentatonics blend with CAGED shapes, intervals, and arpeggios, turning the entire neck into an interconnected map rather than separate boxes.

You’ll also dive into the G major pentatonic shapes, discovering how to link them and use a simple repeating pattern to create smooth, melodic major pentatonic runs.

To bring all these ideas to life, Level 8 features two essential player studies: Jimi Hendrix, whose innovative use of CAGED shapes reshaped rhythm and lead guitar; and The Beatles, with a focus on George Harrison’s G-major-coloured lead work and melodic phrasing.
